Privacy Policy

UghOkay is built to get you offthe feed — so it would be a little hypocritical if we quietly turned you into one. We don’t. This policy explains, in plain English, what happens to your data when you use UghOkay (the “App”). Spoiler: almost nothing leaves your phone.

What we collect

We don’t ask who you are.UghOkay has no sign-up and no account. We don’t ask for or store your name, email address, phone number, contacts, location, or photos. The only data leaving your device is tied to your subscription — see below — and it’s never linked to your real identity.

Data stored on your device

The activities you add, the ones you’ve completed, and your app settings are stored locally on your device. We can’t see them, and they aren’t uploaded anywhere. If you delete the App, that data is deleted with it. If you use iCloud device backups, that data may be included in your own Apple backup — that’s between you and Apple, and we have no access to it.

Subscriptions and payments

UghOkay is free to use, including the home-screen widget and your activities. You can add up to 10 of your own activities for free; an optional subscription unlocks unlimited activities.

All payments are processed by Apple through your App Store account. We never see or store your payment card, billing address, or Apple ID.

To manage and verify your subscription, the App uses RevenueCat, a subscription-management service. RevenueCat receives your purchase information (which subscription you bought and whether it’s active), a randomly generated anonymous ID, and basic technical details such as your app version, device type, and country. It does not receive your name, email, or anything that identifies you personally, and we don’t use it to track you across other apps. RevenueCat processes this data on our behalf to make subscriptions work; its handling is governed by RevenueCat’s Privacy Policy, and Apple’s by Apple’s Privacy Policy.

Analytics and tracking

UghOkay does not use advertising SDKs or cross-app tracking. We don’t build an advertising profile of you and we don’t track you across other apps or websites. The only third-party SDK in the App is RevenueCat, used solely to run subscriptions (described above) — not for analytics or advertising. Apple separately provides us with anonymous, aggregated subscription statistics (for example, how many people subscribed in a given week), which cannot identify you individually.

Third-party services

Two third parties are involved in the App, both only for subscriptions: Apple (processing payments and delivering the App through the App Store) and RevenueCat (managing and verifying subscription status, as described above). UghOkay does not integrate social logins, ad networks, or external trackers.

Children

UghOkay is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any data from them. Since the App collects no personal data from anyone, this is largely moot — but if you believe a child has provided personal information to us in some way, contact us and we’ll address it.

Data security

Because your data stays on your device and we don’t operate user servers, there’s no central database of yours for anyone to breach. Your information is protected by your device’s own security (passcode, encryption, etc.).

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data a company holds about you. In our case the answer is short: we hold no data that identifies you personally. Your activities stay on your device and deleting the App removes them. The only data tied to you is the anonymous subscription record held by RevenueCat — if you’d like it deleted, contact us and we’ll arrange it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how the App handles data, we’ll update this policy and revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
